15 years of marketing: a master's degree, positions at media groups and global brands, most recently with a team and budget responsibility. The path they sell you as the right one:
collect titles, negotiate your salary, security. From the outside, everything was working.
I didn't leave. I had to leave. Overnight I was out of my own home and back in my old childhood bedroom. Two kids I was no longer allowed to wake up every morning. What followed was the darkest time of my life. The drive was gone, and so was my joy in life. I swallowed things nobody sees. 15 years of career, and still I sat in the room where I had dreams as a kid, and felt: zero. Nobody came to get me out of there.
So I had to do it myself.
AI wasn't new. What was new was what I saw in it: the chance to stop depending on anyone and to build a head start nobody can take from me. So in I went: 12 to 14 hours a day of learning, building, testing, soaking up global trends before they arrive in Germany. For the first time in my life, I did not depend on anyone for an idea. No partner, no budget, no permission. Not an easy road: every day from inside my childhood bedroom, against my own head, piece by piece. Out of that came the first real things:
AI consulting for sales and strategy, automation and digital transformation for mid-sized companies, AI pipelines for client projects.
Today many people use AI. Few at this scale.
In 2026 I took on the role of Head of Digital Marketing at OFM, Germany's classic browser game since 2003, with more than 3 million players. Not just a job: the decision to take part in life again. Alongside it, my own systems keep running, every day, in public. I have left the childhood bedroom. The way of working from there, I have not.
I had no motivation in 2024. What saved me was a system: fixed routines, every day,
no matter what the day is like.
Every tool only speeds up what is already there. A broken process plus AI is a broken process, just faster.
Build in public was not a marketing trick. It was a contract with myself: if you have to deliver every day, you deliver every day.
What I picked up along the way through hard work and ambition, I'm putting on the tool shelf bit by bit. Free, and the shelf keeps filling up.
Take what's already there.
